2017 Gift of Music
This holiday season we are raising money to buy a guitar for a musician in need in Haiti.
Nixon Charles is an artist and musician whom Arri met in 2010 in Haiti when he was teaching music and working in a free clinic sponsored by doctors from his hometown.
Nixon plays guitar and leads music at his church in Lambert, Haiti, but doesn't have his own instrument -- he has only been able to borrow from the church. Having his own guitar would allow him to practice, as well as earn additional income playing for hire.
To make the situation worse, his church was recently robbed and all of the instruments were stolen, so they currently have nothing at all. A guitar would be a huge blessing for the entire community.
We currently have raised $750 of the $750 required for this project. Thank you for helping us reach this goal! We are so grateful.
We will be purchasing:
- An acoustic guitar with electric pickup
- A guitar case
- Extra sets of strings
- A tuner
- Secure shipment to Haiti
All website donations are processed securely through Paypal. For additional ways to contribute, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
All funds raised will go toward this charitable project.
